Ashlyn is a hands-on leader who leads with the customers in mind. Ashlyn Etter has been involved in the family business since the age of 10. She has a prowess for customer service/sales and values forming a personal relationship with our dealers.
Ashlyn graduated from Clackamas Community College where she received her degree in business.
After college, Ashlyn returned to work for Shielding International.
For 12 ½ years, Ashlyn worked alongside her Dad (Doug Lofting) learning the intricacies and nuances of running the business.
On a personal level, Ashlyn ranks family first. Ashlyn and Paul met in college and have been married for over 14 years. They have 2 boys (ages 10 and 7), and you can often find Ashlyn volunteering as a coach for local, youth sports teams. Sports have always played a major role in Ashlyn’s life and include both track & field and lifting. Her current passion is CrossFit and is involved in daily training as well as competitions.
Ashlyn’s vision is to continue to grow Shielding International by developing new products and to persist in leading the industry in the manufacture of quality core material for x-ray protective products. She is committed to providing our dealers with the best-possible customer service and the highest quality x-ray protective products for their customers.
Paul Etter is the Production Manager for Shielding International and has worked in that capacity for the past 12 years. Paul is a dedicated leader who believes in leading by example. He will not ask someone to do something that he himself is not willing to do. Paul is committed to assuring the continued satisfaction of all of Shielding International’s customers and is devoted to ensuring that they receive the highest quality of x-ray protection possible.
Paul grew up in Snohomish, Washington where his parents instilled in him the importance of honor, hard work and honesty. He is happily married to his wife Ashlyn and together they have two energetic, young boys.
Currently, Paul acts as the definitive expert on quality in the manufacture of our core material. He is engaged in all aspects of the manufacturing process and personally makes regular QA assessments of the core material during production runs.
Paul earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oregon and enjoys the outdoor lifestyle that the Central Oregon area offers. Paul competed in track and field at the University of Oregon for two years. Throwing the hammer was his specialty! He is currently a high school track and field coach for the throwing events.
Paul is highly motivated to do whatever he sets his mind to accomplish. He enjoys competitive running, mountaineering, racing dirt bikes and finding backroads in a jeep.
Rick is the company’s Quality & Compliance manager. Prior to joining Shielding International in 2016 he worked in the Auto Business, served as provisioning manager for Go Army Homes, did a stint in the US Army reserves and was a sworn LAPD officer.
Richard received his BA from California State University Northridge . In addition, he took courses at the Keller Graduate School of Management. Rick currently is working on becoming certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt as well as getting certified through ASQ as a CQA.
He is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and more recently became a member of the American Society for Quality.
His goal is to ensure that Shielding International is able to deliver superior x-ray protection products for years to come.
He has volunteered with Young Life International and currently volunteers at Culver Christian Church.
In addition, we believe that local businesses should be involved in the community. Consequently, Shielding International donates to many organizations including the Kid’s Club of Jefferson County, Neighborhood Impact of Jefferson County as well as to schools and sports teams in the local area.
